The journey to hyve started with a simple question of “how clean is our cleaning culture?” Shreya found mainstream cleaning products to be unsustainable -- single-use large plastic bottles, ingredients which pollute air in our homes, and "natural" products unable to provide protection from harmful bacteria. With a background in science and a passion for the planet, Shreya developed hyve -- packaging and formulation with lower carbon footprint, ingredients that harness the power of biology not chemistry, and products that safely eliminate bad bacteria. What makes our products unique? Our products harness the power of food-grade beneficial bacteria to eliminate the harmful ones. And because of this, we don’t need those nasty chemicals to do the heavy lifting.
